Hand Carved Horse Chestnut Eating Spoon
We love these spoons from Sam Perrin, each one is beautifully hand carved and unique. The chestnut for this eating spoon was sourced in Nottinghamshire, it has a gorgeous 2 toned chalk painted handle and is finished with walnut oil after being baked to gain its rich golden colour.
Each and every spoon Sam makes is hand carved using only an axe and small selection of razor-sharp knives. Although this may take longer than, say, finishing up with sandpaper, this process ensures a great feeling and long-lasting surface. To ensure they stay this way for as long as possible, all wooden spoons should be cared for and washed by hand.
